Just picked up my 16 ram sport crew cab. I wanna get it leveled with bilstein 5100s. No one can seem to tell me if the 15s are the same part numbers for 16. I don't see any difference as I upgraded from a 14 but does anyone know or done it

Congrats on the truck.
I ordered a '16 Ram Sport reg cab/short bed almost 3 weeks ago now. Can't wait to get it.
Good luck and enjoy. :favorites13:

When you say no-one, have you tried contacting bilstein with this question, I would think that they souls know and would be the most reliable source. If you are close enough to them you could even volunteer your truck for them to check out - maybe get a free lift!

Make sure you also install new UCA's when you install the new Bilstein's.

I emailed bilstein 3 days ago never got a response. I couldnt find a number to call anyone. I called my local 4wd shop today he said they would fit bit he's the only one who said that.

Why would I need new uca. I heard that was only a few cases of the ball joints popping out. Hopefully the 16 are better

I really don't care if you replace your UCA's or not, but from what I have read, on other Ram Truck forums lots of people, starting in 13 through 15's have had trouble. It's just a suggestion, you might read some more about it, but it's your truck---like you said yourself--"hopefully the 16's will be better", I hope your right.

With as many problems as I have read about, I'm not willing to bet my safety or my family's safety on your opinion.

You don't need them with the bilstein. If you want to get them get them. The problems were more for the spacer that people were using. I.haven't seen anything where the uca were failing at the 2in setting. But of you want everybody toi go buy the uca, that's great.

I just recommend that he do his own research then make a decision. Not my truck, not my call.

totally agree with this, research it the crap out of it. having said that I have bils set at 2.8 with stock uca's for 5k and so far so good. I just check the ball joints every so often and they are going strong. My truck has seen the Oregon dunes 3 times since the bils install as well.
