2017 2500

Does anybody know the release date for the 2017 2500?

Ram has a target production year of July 1 - June 30
Due to more orders then expected for the last 3 years, they are running behind
They are especially behind on the 1500 4 door models coming out of Warren Michigan, they can only make about 1300 Rams per day, 6 days a week, 2 shifts of 10 hours per day, rotating shifts. Equaling 4 ten hour days per person

The Heavy Duty 2500 - 5500 Ram & the Standard Cab 1500, ( 2 door ) coming out of Saltillo Mexico are a bit closer to the target dates

How long does it take to build a truck once it is on the line? They said last week it was already on the line and they already have a VIN.

It doesn't take long to build a truck once it's actually on the line. But shipping is what usually takes weeks, or more. Visit the ramforumz site and under the 2017 forum reply to the 2017 Status Updates post by SPP with your VIN. He will then provide you with daily status updates.
