I traded my JKU Sahara in and purchased a 2016 2500 Crew Cab with the 6.4 Hemi. The build sheet says it has 3.73 gears. My question is can I run 35" tires without noticing a power loss or sluggish performance? Coming from the Jeep world running 35" tires on anything less than 4+ gears was a dog.

I have same truck and just put 285/65's (34.6") and didn't notice any difference by seat of the pants. Will know more next week when I haul the tavel trailer for the first time.

You sure will have power loss. While towing will be most noticeable. But if you were gonna put 35's on a gas truck 3.73's is what I would run. If u don't tow a ton your golden.

Question have u picked tires? Go get some toyos and run them for 500 miles. If u like them keep them. If u don't you can return them. I did that with some 33" mt's. I didn't like the road noise and how heavy sluggish it made my truck so I traded then on some at's. If u don't like the at's take those back too. I love toyo. I personally just got RT's for my 2500. I'm running 4.10's

Depends on your definition of a dog. I run 35 12.50 18 Nitto g2's and 3.73 gears. It has all the power I need and then some. A hot rod it ain't. Plenty of power everyday use and pulling my 10k dump trailer.

When i put 35" on my jeep it would constantly be in and out of overdrive. That is what i'm trying to avoid. I don't tow more than my 12' utility trailer when i need to. Not really concerned about the mpg but i definitely don't want the constant cycling in and out of overdrive.

I usually keep mine in tow/haul mode around town and only turn it off when I'm unloaded on the highway.

With the 275 70 18 tires that are on it now it is sitting at 33.25 inches. Adding 35 x 12.5 Firestone Destination M/T will only net at best 1.75" and drop the revolutions per mile from around 609 to 577. So with that being said, the real question is there anybody out there running 35s on their 2500 6.4 hemi and noticing a lag while just normal driving, not towing, not racing.... just driving around normal with highway usage? Thanks again for everyone's help.

Most of the 35's measure 34.5" and I went to a 34.6" tire and didn't feel a noticeable difference.

I have a 6.4 with 3.73. I put on Toyo AT2 35x12.5x20 and haven't looked back. The 6.4 is a beast!

I put 33x12.5's on 22x12 rims on a 1500 Hemi 5.7 single cab 4x4... noticed a huge drop in acceleration, and wants to drop a gear anytime you try to slightly accelerate. Hoping to find some good gearing advice on here to help balance that all back out.
