Help Fellow 4th Gens
Well for me it was $96 I believe. I went to car-part.com. Found the place who sold the tanks the cheapest close to me which was a place called Elmer's salvage in Wisconsin I believe. $66 plus $30 to ship to my door via spee dee delivery. Make sure you have them check the part number as they sometimes think they are 32 gal but are actually 26.

Resurrection of an old $miley Thread Nice .
I've been thinking of installing a 32 gal tank as well , has anyone confirmed doing this to a 2013 + Spacifically a 2014 QC 4X4 , 5.7L .
I know lots of things changed in 2013 electrically.
I'm wondering if there's a sales code Flash or anything to get the (miles remaining in tank) to work
Does the Qty indicator still work properly , miles remaining in tank still working properly?
Any info is much appreciated!

Honestly I dont understand why the 32g tank is just not standard on all the trucks, seems like they could save money just building one tank rather then 2 tanks.

All works as expected you just unhook one and remove the fuel pump. Put it into the other tank then reinstall. Straight forward.

They certainly could be different but don't think so because part numbers have not changed only been revised.

I'm more concerned about the differences electrically as how the fuel Qty is calculated and displayed on a different BCM , also how the miles remaining in tank Untill empty is calculated .
I'm thinking with the different BCM & Lin Bus algorithms introduced in the 13 + Ram's I may need a sales code Flash or a different fuel Qty sending unit ?
I have more research to do , unless someone has upgraded successfully to a 32 gal from a 26 gal tank on a 13 + Ram or more Spacifically a 14 QC 4X4 with a 5.7L.

These tanks are kind of, no they are junk. Very commonly have issues with the vent. I have already replaced my replacement and will have to again. The reason being is when I go to the gas station to fill up I can't let the pump shut off on its own because it nearly always overflows. It is annoying and probably a little dangerous.

Mine has never done this. My wife had a 2005 Durango she bought new and after a couple years it would. If you let the pump run full force it would blow gas back out like it was under a lot of pressure, and go everywhere. I was getting gas next to a woman filling up her Durango once and it did the same thing.

Somewhere in here is another thread on this same subject. I think it might be under the "Engine and Performance section". It may be a year or so old. I did this swap to my 13 1/2T CC and I posted all my notes that I took during the exchange. If you can find the thread somewhere it might help answer some of your questions. I'm sorry I can't remember exactly where it is or how to ID it specifically.
