I've got a 2012 express 2wd and am trying to figure out if this transmission pan is considered deep or shallow. I'm assuming shallow since deep should be for hd versions but this does have the tow package so I am unsure. Any help would be appreciated.

1) you have the 65rfe
2) im not 100% on this but i thought the 4x4 trucks had deeper pans then the 2wd trucks, making yours the shallow pan.

I'd like to call that a typo but it's just a lack of knowledge about my own truck. I appreciate the response.

Why are you trying to find out. That is the stock pain for a 2wd, my 2014 has the same pan.

2wd= shallow pan

4x4= deep pan
Learned that while ordering trans filters since they are different for the pan depth.
