Hey guys. I sold my 09 1500 a few years ago with the Rough Country 6" plus spacers and 35s.

I am looking at a 2014 1500 Sport right now 2WD fully loaded with the 8spd. Is there anything I should keep an eye out for or inspect with these new ones? I am going to go on the second test drive later today and if all checks out probably drive it home :naughty:

The truck has 92k miles on it currently. No squeaks or any noises of any kind and looks clean. My 09 had over 200k miles on it so the mileage doesn't bother me.

Anything else I should look for that is a problem with these newer ones? Transmission issues? Leaks? Recalls?

Also is the rear diff ratio stamped somewhere on the pumpkin?

Thanks in advance!!!

92k on a 2 year old truck? Man, I'd much rather pay a little more for a lower mileage example.

Lot of miles 2wd and you didn't say the price. I just traded in a 14 loaded big horn 4wd with 55k miles.

I think the axle ratio is on a sticker on the bottom of the axle, unless it's now obscured by dirt, grime, or rust.

You can also type the VIN into a FCA website to get the vehicle specs. Just Google it.

How much is the asking price on the truck? I bought a fully loaded 2014 Big Horn last winter for $27,500 from a dealer -- kinda want to see what the market is like now. Fully loaded.

Can I ask what you got for your 14 big horn on trade? I'm looking to sell / trade mine for a laramie or Rebel. Mine is also 4wd, loaded, but has 41k miles.

the only thing i would check is the price of a new one. plenty of really good deals to be had. also,i make it a rule to have mechanic i trust to go over it and put up on a lift. 92000 miles, check the manifold bolts.

92K? Only thing I'd be looking for is service record at that point.

Spend more coin, get a lower mileage Ram, possibly look into a new one. I bought a Crew Cab Sport for $38,000 almost 3 years ago, and saw one two months ago on the lot for just over 37. Granted that one sold fast, but I'd really keep your eyes open for a '16.

Alright thanks for the responses guys! I ended up picking it up the other night. It's fully loaded 1 owner fully serviced. They installed brand new tires and brakes. Needs nothing.

Picked it up for $22,500

I'll post some pictures of it shortly.

Some specs:
1500
Sport
Hemi
8spd auto
2wd
Crew Cab
remote start
Leather
Heated/cooled seats
Heated steering wheel
Uconnect 8.4
Nav
Parking sensors front & rear
Power folding mirrors
rear power window
tow package
factory bed liner
auto highbeams
auto wipers

It is pretty much fully loaded with all options. Only thing I think it is missing is a sunroof and 4wd.
