Sorry I know there's more then likely tons of mpg talk.
I have a 2013 ram sport 5.7l hemi with 6 speed auto 4x4.
I just did a 750 mile round trip avg speed of 70mph and got avg 17 mpg.
Is that normal/low/high for that truck?

Thanks for the help.4de3159914c3885c1223b55d9b597b5d.jpg

I would say it's a little low. Usually on a road trip I get around 20 to 22 mpg.
I have a 15 5.7L 6 speed 4x4

Are those tires in the pic on your truck? If so are they the same size as stock if not, have you recalibrated the speedo? Taller or wider tires will affect mileage, even a different tread design will cause more resistance reducing mpg. Is it lifted? More air going under and not over causes drag.

Yeah those are my tires they are stock size on factory 20s. I figured out the mileage myself instead of the trucks computer. The truck has a 2 inch leveling kit but otherwise stock.

Leveled with the heavier tires, sounds about right.

Also depends on terrain. Flat and hilly make a huge difference

17 seams reasonable with an all terrain tire. Depends on gear ratio

I have a 2010 5speed (same as 6speed) 4x4 crew cab 3.92 gears. only things ive done that increase mpg was a k&n filter, econoaid throttle body booster and tonneau cover. ive personally seen 24 but that's me doing 55 on a flat highway. when I deployed however and my wife took the truck from Oklahoma back to Washington and both bed and cab was fully loaded she got 19.5 mpg and she was doing speed limits so at times she was going 75-80. these trucks if driven right will get great mpg.

I've never seen 20+ mpg even when stock

You will find quite a few of us on here have broken the 20 mpg mark on flat highway. And keep in mind that I checked mine by hand calculations, the truck computer actually showed it at 22which did prove to be a bit optimistic (but not by much).

My 3.92 gears must kill my mpg. I get maybe 17 going 70 mph.
