How would you switch inputs?

TBH you dont need the customtronix harness if you are savy enough to buy the connectors and splice them into the back of the original 8.4 harness. There was 1 forum thread that was giving the input #'s for each camera, i believe you needed 3 inputs for a video source.

With the customtronix harness it adds 2 video inputs that you can toggle between on the screen. Here's a pic of my screen with customtronix. You can see reverse, cargo and the camera is for the front. So i'm guessing a 4th option will pop up when plugged into the harness.

Tailgate assist is back up to $25 on Amazon. Still seems like a good price for what it does, but now that I know it's been $10 in the past I can't bring myself to order it at $25. :banghead:

It’s been $25 for along time now.
Reward yourself with a tailgate assist. You’ll thank yourself and the truck will reward ya even more and while your at it put a hose clamp on it. The hose clamp is about $1.50 install it around the right side pivot at the bottom of the tailgate to keep it from being stolen.
That’s the best advice you’ll ever get.

I’ve never seen it lower than 20-25 unless you’re talking used. I love mine... I just open the latch and let it lower the tailgate nice and slow... as it should’ve been from factory. All my future trucks will have this, either factory or aftermarket.

I installed LED footwell lighting in the rear, higher trim levels have them under the seat bottom cushion. Since I went with aftermarket lamps I had to use the storage area under the seat.

The back button for 2 seconds, or pressing the mute button quickly 2x within 1 second.

You can splice and find the inputs yourself, but I read you will have to splice some white wires together to eliminate the grid lines for front and cargo cams. Also if you do splice into the oem inputs you will get the video with the permanent camera buttons on the screen.

I use an app for that too, but the logbook is for logging business miles for reimbursement.

Buy it at $40!!! It's one of the best cheap mods you can do AND DeeZee has the best customer service I've ever had to talk to!!!!!!!!!

Update on my milticolor LEDs.. wasnt happy with ability for adjustments after all. So went with Ramm5.7 path and installed flush mount on the filler panel in the tow hook openings. Re mounted the big LEDs behind grille. I think this will work out much better. Lots of clearance and light shines thru very well. Might trim slats a bit later, not sure if its needed. Mods still under $100 as the flush mounts were $47.
