I'm posting this in the Gen 4 section but it applies to all generations. Being a dealership technician, I have access to info regarding the factory configuration of Chrysler vehicles. If anyone would like a copy of the original configuration of their truck, let me know and I can get that info to you. It may take a day or so if I'm busy but I'll do my best to get it to you as quickly as possible. In order to do this, I need three things. 1) the last 8 digits of the VIN, 2) vehicle mileage and 3) your e-mail address. Send the info via PM unless you want it displayed publically.

I was under the assumption that only 2nd gen 1500's with the off road package got 3.92's and the others got 3.55's?

There are plenty of the Gen 2 trucks out there with the 3.92 and LSD combo in the rear end. What you don't see a lot of is the 3.55's with LSD's in them.
