Hey guys figured id post this here. I recently just picked up a 2016 Outdoorsman with the 32 gal. fuel tank. I've never personally had the 32 gal. tank before and i've read how people have had issues feeling a bump when coming to a stop. I've noticed that upon accelerating I get a feeling almost like something is sliding in the bed and then bumps the tailgate. Obviously there is nothing in the bed to create this feeling and it only happens sometimes during acceleration. The fuel level has been between 3/4 and almost full when it has done it. Has anyone else had this issue and was it the 32 gal. tank?

I get a distinct bump when coming to a stop, never on acceleration. I just assumed it was the transmission shifting down. I have a Pentastar V6 with the 8 speed transmission and 26 gallon tank.

It is the fuel tank.

No baffles in the 32 gal tank, and fuel when between 5/8 & full can easily move around when stopping or starting, which is felt when it hits the forward or aft wall of the tank as a bump or jolt.

If it moves when stopping, it will also move when taking off, but the only times I've felt it taking off was when I took off hard..... maybe you should slow down some ???

LOL

Haha I really don't accelerate fast and I haven't felt the bump coming to a stop. I would say it happens upon moderate acceleration. It really doesn't do it if I ease in to the throttle.

Ahhh I am reminded of my '12 with 32 gal tank. I don't miss the "bump." It is the exact reason I avoided a 32 gal when I got my 17. The bigger tank is nice for sure, but that bump made me crazy.

Probably the tank, but a few 8 speeds have a tendency to bump when accelerating lightly or coming to a stop, most noticeable before there is 500-1000 miles on it. Mine bumps on rare occasions when cold, and I have a standard tank.

I have the 32 gal tank and have never noticed a bump . I'll have to pay attention for it.

Well I think I figured it out. Once I got below 3/4 of a tank I didnt feel the bump anymore. Refilled today and I noticed it, so it looks like its the fuel sloshing.

On mine, the 5/8 - 7/8 seems to be the tank level it's most noticeable at
