How would i go about contacting someone superior in chrysler. I have noticed my brand new trucks paint is bubbling bad in some spots. And it ****** me off. But i would much rather live with it then try to have them fix it. Just seeing if maybe they could do anything, but from previous experience i will never let another car get half painted and blended especially black mettalic.

Fiat I assume? How many miles are on your truck? Warranty may cover it.

Your remedy is to have it fixed under warranty. You can contact FCA directly through their website.

However, to keep from backtracking, get with your dealer's service and parts manager to open your warranty claim there first as that's the first thing FCA will ask about.

Ok thanks guys. They may just want to try and repaint it do i let them. I had a issue with a black car before they repainted and tryed to blend it and looked like total crap. I was maybe considering just to see if they would give me a price on the job and to take it off my price. I dont know really what to do i hate dealerships. And i will get some pics when i can. And i just hit 700 miles.

Sorry to say they won't deduct any money from your loan or give you any money back on your purchase. Their obligation is to repair the vehicle, not refund money.

Ok well as long as it is fixed right it is not a problem but that probally means repaint whole truck lol. Im assuming im just going to live with it took it to body shops and they say would need a complete paint job to do it right. From previous experience i am never happy with halfway paint and blend jobs. Its bubbling on the rear under taillight and on the roof. What is bad this is my second new truck in two weeks. First one had a scratch on the dash dealer tryed to fix it and melted my dash. And manager agreed looked awful so i just returned it.

let the dealer warranty it first. if you are not happy with the results then get fiat involved.

i understand your frustration but unfortunately its the order of operation.

Hi 12vrunner,

I would recommend taking your vehicle to a Ram dealership for diagnosis. I would be happy to follow up with them for you! Just send a PM to our page with your VIN and contact information if that is the case.

there is nothing wrong with "blending" a car panel if it is done right. its not rocket science. my passenger side box side is blended. and it was done correctly. like others have said. go to the dealer first to mitigate any backtracking issues.

It will and should be covered under your existing warranty or under a work warranty. my trans was done just before my vehicle warranty was up and they gave me a 2 yr unlimited miles warranty on the trans and other work they did under warranty with the motor. This was all through a Ram Dealer.

As for pain, most in house body shops tend to do a good to great job on paint. I had my old ram done at a Toyota dealer collision center and looked better than factory and couldn't even tell it was ever munched. also there is a point where yo can reject the work and not accept it if it is that bad. its a battle but I think you'll be fine.

Here in ETX, the painters at the dealers suck ass.
Can't blend worth a damn, solvent pop and trash.

At the shop I work in we blend metallics all day every day and they look fine.

At this point, file a claim, contact FCA US, raise hell and eat corn bread!

In tour situation it looks like there is no primer, but its hard to tell on plastick bumper covers. Just ask to see the cover after priming.

It is your bumper cover right?

Take it from someone who has gone from the dealer to a lawyer and a warranty dispute case, PROCEED with CAUTION.

A AUTHORIZED repair center may repair you paint and there will be no record of the repair being done. (good thing).
They also may FLUB it up, as in my case.

If you don't repair your vehicle its value may suffer when selling or trading it in down the road. Not to mention its not going to get better on its own.

If it was me I would let them repair it, with their Authorized paint shop.

RECORDS will be your saving grace if things go wrong.
Keep a log of all your phone calls and visits, whom you talked to, date, and time.
Take pictures of the damage, and know where every lump and bump on that truck is. Make sure to inspect the truck under different lighting conditions indoors and outside when they claim they are done.

AND most importantly, do not let them tell you that a inferior job is the best they can do, make them fix it to your satisfactioin, your truck should be as good if not better than a new truck should come from the factory.

And mostly, GOOD LUCK
