My cousin found a 2017 LongHorn for $39,750 and wanted to know from me. If it's a good price. I wouldn't know as I haven't had a truck payment since 2011 after I paid mine off. Again I really don't much about the 2017 models and definitely don't know a thing about LongHorn ones. :)

Sorry it's a Ram 1500 LongHorn with 3.92 gears and 32 gal tank as well as the rest of the bells and whistles if that helps any. :)

If it truly has all the bells and whistles and is a Laramie Longhorn and not a Bighorn then I'd say that's a good price. If it's a Bighorn they're going for around $32-34k around here nicely equipped. On the ram trucks site the 2wd Longhorn starts at nearly $50k.

It's a 4x4 and it's just him picking it up without a trade from what he's told me..

Take the sticker price and multiply by .77. What is the price? If under it's a very fair deal, if over it's probably able to come down some.

something seems odd. - maybe it's a engine/tranny/gear combo no one would want .. or a color combo no one wants? Maybe they are selling more 3/4-1 tons and want to get rid of some half tons? Make sure u go with ur buddy to check it out

What's the .77 mean? Is this something dealers use?

It is a way to reduce the MSRP to a discounted price, it this case, 23% (100 - 77) which is very aggressive pricing unless regional incentives are in place.

Typical discounts from MSRP run in the 19% range plus local fees and taxes.

Might be a good time to mention this, most dealers don't bother to look at all the incentives the factory may be offering. For example, when I bought my 2015 RAM, the factory had a $500 dollar incentive if I owned any Bobcat equipment. As strange as that may sound, it is worth asking your dealer to review the incentive list with you.

If all else fails, contact Dennis Dillon, they are more than happy to email you a price quote (you can see the as low as price on their website which is based on all incentives). You will notice that the sale price they list typically reflects a 19% +- discount from MSRP.

This. Have him clarify that it is a longhorn and not a bighorn
