Hello Ram Forum Community!

I just purchased my first truck, 2017 Ram 1500 Sport Crew Cab 4x4 yesterday!

Previously, I mainly drove SUVs (Yukons), but for the last year, I have been "itching" to have a truck. I have never owned one before and I figured there is a first time for everything!

Prior to settling on the Ram, I looked at the Sierra, Silverado, Tundra, and the F-150. None of the other trucks gave me the "Warm and fuzzy" like the Ram; there is something about the design of the truck that is really appealing!

The truck did not have the side-steps. I asked the sales manager if he would throw in the chrome side-steps to seal the deal and he did! I also ordered my Tri-Fold Tonneau Bed Cover.

Below are the standard and optional equipment that came with my truck.

I would agree of your "feeling" comment. I drove Ford and Chevy and was like "blah." GM powertrains are out of date and underpowered unless you pony up bucks for the 6.2L. I don't trust the longevity of EcoBoosts and they sound like hair dryers. Driving the aluminum body trucks is like driving a Volvo station wagon IMO. When I drove the Ram, the Hemi/8-spd/3.92 combo was amazing in power and smoothness. I also think high end Rams have the nicest interiors.

Very nice. Great color choice!

Congrats, beautiful truck! Enjoy it

You've got yourself one hell of a truck! Enjoy!

Thank you all, I really appreciate it!

I am looking at purchasing a leveling kit for the front end in order to match the rear. I see there are two different sizes, 2" and 2.5" level. How do I find out which size I need for the front? What brand do you recommend? Rough Country has a 2.5" for $59.95.

Also, if I wanted to put some bigger tires on it, which size and brand would you recommend?

If want to spend the extra money, get some bilstein 5100 struts. that's a level done right imo. If you do go max height at 2.8 you could have an issue w joints, which is why a lot of people on the forum run different UCA's. Best way to see how much lift in the front you need is measure the difference between the front and back wheel wells.

Hello Ram Forum Community!

Great looking truck and welcome!

Any chance you are willing to use the dealer menu on the radio to tell us the part number and software version of that 2017 RA4 vp4-NA radio (with nav) for my RA4 FW Info thread? (Screenshot works).

With the dual zone, it will just use both buttons on the driver side + Front defrost...

* Dealer Mode (Use this to identify your Radio's P/N and S/N !)
.. Hold Hot+Cold+Front defrost buttons for 5 seconds

Thanks for the information. I see bilstein makes a few different ones. Which model/kit would you recommend?

Definitely a good idea to level with bilstein 5100"s
