FOB replacement, really?

I just had one made with the key for 135.00 try to find someone who makes keys to do it for you. The dealers use him to make keys so I went to this guy. Key and fob work perfectly!

At least you got a fob. My tradesman only came with keys so I have to unlock the doors with the key every time.

I don't know I just assumed since I got the lowest trim level I didn't get a key fob. It has power locks but no remote to lock/unlock.

I just looked at the standard features, and manual locks is standard--I thought maybe you hadn't received something you had ordered! Sorry to jump in, carry on! :doh2:

Bought my CPO a few weeks ago and it only came with one FOB. I was back at the dealer the other day for another issue and asked about getting a spare FOB. They ordered it and when I went to get it I was handed it with a smile and a "Have a Nice Day" from the service manager. I was prepare for the multi hundred expense (I have a wife that I love dearly!) and was pleasantly surprised.

I am a locksmith. Beware those cheap fobs from ebay amazon or any other on line source. I used to buy refurbs and knockoffs in order to keep my prices down, 3 weeks later they'd come bouncing back at me not working. Now I only sell new OEM parts, for example, the fobik for my 11 ram with remote start I retail at $129 and I don't charge for programming.

I'm in Berlin NJ, just checked my inventory and I have for the 11 Ram 1 with the remote start ($140) and 2 without remote start ($129) left, of course I'll be ordering more, no programming charge If you're buying one of mine. If you buy one on line I charge $10 to program it whether it programs in or not (if you buy a cheap knockoff or refurb you take that chance) I will stand behind mine as they are OEM parts, if you buy junk you take the risk of it failing in a few weeks and I see that all the time.
