I thought my fuel tank was lower than it should be so I stopped to fill up. Full tank of gas but my gauge reads a little more than half full. Truck is 14 months old so the gas cap seal should be fine. Any ideas before I bring it to the dealership?

I had a car that did this. And certain gas stations do it too with my truck. I have to keep holding the handle. I'd get like 16 gallons in and click. I knew that wasn't full though

It's not an issue with the gas tank being physically full; I know it is. Must be a pressure switch or relay problem. Can't wait to spend days at the dealership!

Maybe a bad fuel sensor? My2014 had to be replaced. Also maybe check for codes. Good luck.
