After seeing threads about mpg for other engines I thought I'd start one for the hemi and so that the new guys can see what gas mileage we're getting.

List: gas mileage city and highway, miles per tank, mods that have helped, mods that have hurt, and miles on truck

I'll start. 12 city, 17 highway, little over 300 miles a tank, no mods except for factory 4.10 gears, about 1100 miles on truck

I average 15.5 mpg with my Hemi and all my other mods. Mostly city driving too.

Im about manually calculated 13-14.5 city... depending how I drive, and 16-17.5 highway. Best ever was 19.3 manually calculated driving from Arkansas to Louisianna. I attribute it to the Volant and the E-fan. Saw the best gains from those. When I first bought it stock, I was at like 14 average with 70% highway/30% city driving. Never saw more than 15 mpg pure highway driving, when it was stock. Never lower than 350 per tank...24 gallons usually on full fillup.

QCSB 3.92 gearing

Highway- 19.5-20.00
City- 12.0-17.00 Depends on how pissed I am at other drivers. Those who have talked to me on the phone while I was driving know my frustrations.

Coasting FTW. ;) Mileage right now reads 14.5 on mine, but I've been idling alot with the cold weather.

You also have 4.10 gears, and a couple other differences don't you? Also, I bet the more miles you put on it, the better your mileage will get, kinda like a break-in.

Yeah I have 4.10, he has 3.92. I'm regular cab, he's 4 door. I have a little under 1200, he has more. I have a like 3500 stall tc(not sure if that means anything). Also I only drive about 11 miles on an average day to school and back

See, my trips are more along the lines of 30 miles each way and I've got 7900 on the clock.

To each there own! When I had my 90' Honda CRX I use to spin tires at every stop light, and floor it everywhere... granted I only had like 90 HP. But still, it's fun! I still like to drive like that sometimes... go speed racer go! But this truck doesn't exactly cut in between people on the highway like that matchbox car lol.

Damn Chris! That MDS is pretty ******* huh? Nice mileage in a nice truck!

I did a run over the summer - 100 miles to CoMO. MDS on for the trip there, MDS off on the way back. Difference? .2 mpg. Not worth it!

No kidding huh? I thought the mds was a big deal... my supervisor has a 2010 and gets like 18-20 mpg. I always attributed it to the mds. Maybe the newer models just get that much better mpg.
