Motor trend article that was just published. It is the Ram rebel vs. tundra TRD pro.

Motor trend slightly favored the Tundra TRD Pro. IMO, I don't really care for the look of the Rebels front end. I think, comparing the two models, the tundra looks nicer and I like that bronze looking paint scheme.

I like my Ram. I think the 8-speed is nice too. I think I agree that I would take the Tundra TRD pro over the Ram 1500 rebel.

However, I would keep my Ram 1500 Laramie over a comparable tundra if that makes sense.

With further a do...

I have owned two late model Tundra's, a 2010 and 2014. Very nice trucks but even the current model is a re-skin job running on the same frame, transmission and engine platforms since it came out in 2007.

The problem is that it is no longer 2007 and all the other makes to include the RAM have upped their game and past the Tundra in many respect. The only facet I would concede to the current Tundra's over the RAM and other domestic brands, is initial build quality.

I read that article as well. It's tough for me to give my opinion because I haven't driven a new tundra, but it's interesting to hear about the tire situation.

That part is probly the biggest thing on my to do list because I would hate to spend roughly $1600 on tires just to not perform. I have heard good things about the toyos, but it was bashed in the article....so it's very tough for me to find good all purpose tires..and look good.
