Hemi 8 speed

Hey forum members, I'm getting ready to order the new Ram Laramie and as most of you probably know the 13 Ram is scheduled to get the ZF 8 speed in the near future. Any one have any insight as to when production is suppose to begin?

A dealer I tt said he really thinks with all the changes to the 13 model, Chrysler corp may wait and add it as the 2014 model hits the showroom.

Any thoughts/opinions are very welcome.

first off, welcome to RF!

On the 8 speed, I would think that any of us throwing out a date would really be guessing. I know I've heard mid model year.......so April / May? but, at this point its a shot in the dark

Here's situation, I have 20,000 miles on my F-150 and I put 2200 miles on it/month. Thinking it has maybe a bit more value/appeal if I can sell it with factory warranty remaining which if I shoot to sell at 33,000 miles puts me in May.

Hmm, this may work.

I would also not settle for what they have now.

Wait for what you want, trucks are WAY to expensive.

I plan on trading in once the 8sp comes out and there are some reviews on it....it was hard not to talk to the saleman on the 13' when I was at the dealership last weekend though...

Isn't the 8-speed V6 only? Is there a report that it will be offered with the Hemi?

That's the only thing I miss about my frontier...and it's gas mileage.
