Hi, coming from a 02 Tundra with 423K it was time for a new truck. Shopped around and did not care for the new Tundra so we decided on a Ram. This is used most of the time as a big car but sometimes need a truck. Decided that we wanted the gas V6 and the air ride but the Dodge search said there was not one in 1500 miles so we ordered one.
From Chrysler we ordered a Tradesman with the V6, Air Ride, Chrome package, interior upgrade, uConnect 5.0, Posi rear, 32 gallon tank, skid plate, 32 gallon tank, engine heater, and bed lights. This came to $ 37.300 .
In the aftermarket the first thing we did was trade in the factory tires for a different set. Then an Extang solid fold 2.0, Scottsdale seat covers from Seat Covers Unlimited, Wheel-skins steering wheel cover, DeeZee bed closure strut, Polk door and Kicker dash speakers, Garmin GPS, and floor mats and mud guards from Husky. We also ordered some other little things. Kept it under $40K we like it.

I got my 2015 Tradesman 4X4 ecodiesel for 36k. Only option added was the appearance package (chrome bumpers and alloys). Rolled my Katskin seat covers into financing and tax, tag and title made it exactly 40k

My 2015 Bighorn 2500 6.4 was just a tad over 40k new last may. Once the 2017 start hitting lots rebates on 2016 should go up and you will be able to get a lot of truck for 40k.

Got a '16 SLT Lonestar, NAV, Alpine, 32 gal, 4x4, W2W Steps, LSD, Rear Win Def., Tow Hooks, skid plates, rubber Mats, trailer Brake, brown interior.... 47,335 msrp, $10,600 in rebates and incentives. Out the door for $39,600. Unfortunately, I had to drop a pretty penny to cover the upside down on the 2500.

you can always swap in a leather steering wheel from a laramie. That's what I did a year ago and love it. You can get them off eBay for around $100 which is a great deal IMO

I got this for 40K - the issue is availability. Deep discounts only happen with those trucks on the lot.

I got my 15 bighorn crew cab 4x4 for 37k. It has the hemi/8spd/3.92 combo, heated seats, and the 8.4. Deals are about the same on the 16s now if you can find one with these deals

I didn't find anything close to that price on eBay. After watching a few vids on YouTube I decided to order the wheel skin to see if it's any good. Thanks!

If you have some DIY skills no not at all. There's a couple videos floating around on how to do it and I also made a thread a while back on how to do it.

That's interesting. I got mine for $165 slightly used. It still looked brand new

My 15 Sport I bought in April of last year. It was a loaded 2WD with everything but sunroof for 38K + tax and license. You get a lot of RAM for the $$$$.

Yes the factory wheel feels like a shopping cart. I do like the wheel skin
but it did take my son a couple of hours to put it on but it turned out fairly nice after it had a few days in the sun. If you order the Europe version it has a lot of holes on it. Would have preferred a rougher texture.
As far as the "Elmo" seats go. I don't care for leather and the factory cloth seemed real cheap. I like these covers they are super comfy. The factory interior was a bit dull for me I do realize the color is not for everyone
I would have bought a new Tundra but did not like the new one. They get 15 MPG and ride rough.

@torqueflite, that's a real sweet looking truck. I really like those seat covers. Thanks for throwing up some of the names of the products. Already checked out the seat cover site.
