I shouldve measured the wheel base. But the rear diff is 140" from the back of the cab.

Adding a cross member when we build a new drive shaft. Have to install a second steady bearing. Just waiting for parts. We build our own shafts. Also adding a cross member in the back extension.
I'm only into this 14hrs so far.
This thing has four huge doors. Back ones are the same size as the fronts.

Yes, we have 11 guys in our shop. A Journeyman HD mechanic and an apprentice plus myself (Journeyman welder) and three "Old guys" that are welders and have been doing this for like 40 years each, another Journeyman and a few apprentice welders plus a driveline specialist who has been building drive shafts and axles for over 20 years.
I think we got this stuff figured out. Lol.

Not that you can't but when you buy off a lot and get it changed you get it a lot sooner.
If you want a 2016 Laramie Ram 5500 4x4 crew cab Diesel and there is one on the lot, how long would it take to order one?
I can have the dealer one back to you in a week.

Interesting. Why vertical cuts and welds? Seems like most guys use either a 45* or zee cut when splicing frame rails.
