Krown rustproofing question.

Hey there.

I'll be picking up my Ram Tuesday from the dealer...

Does anyone here use Krown rustproofing? Does it void the warranty?

I've used it in the past on my mazda 3's and Nissan Frontier, so I know it works. I'm just wondering about the warranty side of things.

My truck is Krowned yearly. Dealer has never said anything. You might want to call and ask at the servicing dealer though. Check Krown's website for any coupons before your appointment if you choose to get it done.

I have always had my dealer take my cars and trucks to get rustproofed and paint sealed at a local detail shop before I picked them up. So this will not void your warranty.

I have used krown on all my vehicles for years. It works amazing, and I've never had any warranty issues at all.

We use it on our Jeep Wrangler and my new truck will be getting done in September in preparation for winter. I can't see how it would cause any warranty issues. I see them doing new vehicles every time I go there.

I emailed the head company and this is what they sent me:

NON-CHRYSLER MODIFICATIONS
The warranties in this booklet do not cover repairs required because of
non-Chrysler modifications,
installation of special equipment or accessories, or use of special
materials, fuels or additives. This
includes special bodies, body conversions, fuel system conversions,
trailer hitches, window tints,
sunroofs, theft alarms, etc. Non-Chrysler modifications do not by
themselves void your warranty, but
they are not covered by your warranty.

Had my 2016 Ram 2500 Krown rust proofed when new.Salted roads in Michigan are hell of trucks. :favorites13:
