Those of you with longhorns, what'd you pay?

My local dealer has a 2017 CC loaded 2wd longhorn, and I can get it for $40,671 before tax. Seems like a decent deal to me.

I bought my leftover 2016 in May.

4X4 55K sticker, traded a 2013 Elantra and drive out price was 33K.

I'm satisfied, just do the best you can and be happy with it because someone will always tell you that you could have done better.

I think my dad paid around that for his 4wd in 2016. Not sure though. It was a demo model with less than 4K miles on it, every option except sun roof

No need for 4wd. I bought a 4wd thinking I would use it, but I haven't since I bought it three years ago. Just looking to upgrade so I carry my kids around. My current truck is only worth about $6,000. I think the price I stated is about 23% below msrp.

$40k seems like a good price for a Longhorn even with 2wd. If the truck is spec'd right I'd say go for it lol.

20% minimum off MSRP is very attainable

I would agree that 20% off sticker is doable. When I bought my 2016 Laramie last year, their first offer right out the gate was $38,900. The sticker was $47,770, so that seemed pretty good to me. Especially to not have to haggle. Only haggling we did was on my trade. They gave me about 2k more than what it was worth. I know that's not a longhorn, but just a point of reference on a trim that's close to what you're looking at. My truck is pretty well loaded, only thing it doesn't have is a sunroof and 4x4.

Unfortunately no. They're not giving me nearly what I want for trade, which leaves my payment higher than I want to have. Waiting on info from another local dealer if they can do better.

On a side note, I'm also waiting on a possible job offer at the VA hospital in my hometown in Michigan, which would require me to buy a 4wd, most likely a 2500 6.4. I thought that job was off the table, but the HR guy called and said he'd do his best to get something in the works for me. So we'll see.
