Broken mode door/actuator, or the evaporator is blocked with debris.

I had the same problem on a 2010. It was a weird, intermittent problem. It only did it on long trips, when the ac had been running for hours.

I could park at a restaurant and eat lunch, restart the truck and it was back to normal, for another couple hours.

I replaced my blower door actuators with replacements from auto zone and the problem disappeared.

On mine it was obviously the door actuators though. On high, I could physically hear the blower motor blowing like hell, but barely any airflow out the vents.

Good luck taking all that **** apart. I think there's a write-up on the net somewhere, if you can find it.

Yeah you can hear the blower blowing hard as hell but very little air flow, if you're talkin about the thing that opens and closes to let inside air or outside air in it is working, i see it open and close when i change the setting

As already said, blend door actuator. Replace it and do the relearn (turn ti acc, turn heat and fan to full, wait a few seconds, turn to low, wait a few seconds) and you should be fine.

If all the modes work properly and you get airflow from the correct vents there is a blockage somewhere, most likely the evaporator is blocked with debris.

Something like this. Not very expensive parts, but a pain in the ass. Let us know how it goes!

BTW, there's two in there. I'm not sure which you need to replace. I just replaced both.

The blend door controls the heat/cool. A mode door changes the position, defrost, panel, floor.

It controls the flow of air. There are several total, they open and close in various ways and proportions based on heat/ac airflow selection.

Example:. You turn the knob to select "defroster with floor air" and heater is on but the temp is set about midway between hot and cold.

Some doors open fully, some partially, to bring in air from the heater core, blend with air from outside and direct it to the window defrost, and floor vents.

Change settings, and the various doors start opening and closing to get air from the right places, blended, then to the right places.

Ahh ok, thanks fellas for the information, guess the evaporator coil or whatever is clogged because all the vents blow air heat/ac just not hard enough, i did manage to take a pic of it and it was nasty looking so i guess im tearin out the dash
