I let my friend borrow my 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi 5.7 Liter and he filled it up with 4 to 5 gallons of diesel. It is relatively new with less than 200 miles on it. I read somethings online that said "fill the rest of the tank up with unleaded gas" which I have half a tank I can fill with it.
Another said "dump the gas tank" but I contacted the dealership and that's going to cost me around $600 bucks. Anyone know if filling the rest of it up with unleaded will help?

You have to drain the tank. Do not start it or drive it to the dealership.

Agree. Drain it, disconnect the fuel line before it goes into the engine and turn on the key to pump the rest of the fuel out of the system.

First how did he even do it! The diesel nozzle is larger to make sure this doesnt happen, it will not fit in an unleaded fill tube.

Second, call a tow truck get it to a dealer to drain it out.

It's probably best to siphon down the tank and fill up as much as possible with fresh gas. A little bit of diesel in a gas truck isn't going to hurt anything, especially if this truck has 32 gallon tank.
Now if it was the other way around, gas in a diesel truck, don't even think of starting it, $600 is a lot cheaper than a HPFP and injectors.

How did he get the diesel in the tank anyways? Even retail diesel pumps use a larger nozzle than gas ones.

I've actually seen a lot of diesel nozzles the same size- I *think* (can't remember for sure) some of the diesel cars of a certain era needed the smaller size- or something to that effect. Anyway, I have seen it.

OP, get it drained. Don't run it if you can avoid it. While technically it's not going to kill it completely if it were a little bit of diesel, it's certainly not going to do it any favours. It will foul a bunch of **** up. The $600.00 charge to get it drained and cleaned out is small change compared to the mess it will inevitably make inside that engine.

Drain the tank and completely refill it with fresh gas. I had it happen to a truck back in the 90's and it was fine

*OP, why would "You" have to pay for any repairs? Given it's your friend that did it.

Easy,
Get a garden hose, stick one end inside your gas tank and then just start sucking on the other end spitting out all the gas and diesel
