Since its truck month with 25% off i can get into a brand new fully loaded sport or a rebel for lower monthly payments then my current 14 f150 fx4 appreance. The sport has the rambox system which looks great and i wouod get some use out of. Im a plumber so it would keep some tools out the back seat. But i love the more aggressive look of the rebel. How much higher is the rebel over the sport? The sport also has the air suspension system if that matters. Anyone have issues with the rambox or miss the space in the back? Also what would u p8ck and why? sport or rebel? or if you got one and wishes you got the other? thanks in advance.

I love my sport. I don't really care for the grill of the rebel and I think the sport just looks mean. I am also a plumber and also have the ram box and didn't know if I would like taking away from the bed but they are awesome and can still fit most things in the bed. I also camp a lot and the ram box doubles as a cooler, it has a plug in the bottom of it to drain the water when you're done.

A little off topic but is it true plumbers wear green shaded glasses so the turds look like pickles?

Look past the sheet metal and examine features unique to both models. Then decide which one works for you.

Guess you've probably heard them all. My dad was a plumber back in the day and told me the green lenses joke when i was a little boy. Funny the things we remember.

For sure. The world needs plumbers. Not knocking the profession one bit.

I know. I love what I do. I'm not saying it's the proffesion I thought I would be in but I was able to buy my badass RAM on this plumbers income.

I'm in the process of converting from GM to ram. I too was offered the same deal on a sport/rebel. I chose a copperhead sport simply because i liked the color scheme more. However, the lighter colored rebels with the black and red leather interior is ahuge eyecatcher.

Aside from airide, the 2 could be configured alike by yourself. The only downfall IMO to the rebel is the grill, and the 17" rims arent my fancy. It was designed to be offroad themed though, so the 17's are in the right place. I say sport

Both trucks will be capable of the same day to day task. I dont think you can really go wrong with either.

It is also worth mentioning, that you could buy a rebel and make it more like a sport, and vice versa. Their are some really nice sports out there jacked up in offroad theme. The only major seperation from the dealer is there original theme.

Sport, simply because they just look better than a rebel, but if you're planning to keep it as a work truck as well; I would go for a truck that has a full bed and not the rambox. Assuming the sport is a crew cab, which in return offers even less loading space with the ramboxes, it's a good idea to shop around more. If you feel you're fixed on these two choices, I would think long and hard before purchasing.

Rebel. Ram boxes are great for tools and so on, its still 48 inches wide so it works for most things you need a truck for. Rebel also has BW 44 45 TC and 17 inch rims are choice in my books.

air ride... no idea they don't sell them where i live, its too cold and dealer does not order any with.

Sport you get about 190 lbs more payload and about 700 lbs more towing. If you are going to use for work this is what I would look at. With that being said I like the Rebel better for looks and off road. I don't think you could go wrong with whichever one you chose. It's a Ram after all. :favorites13:

Kind of funny. I had a loaded black 2014 Sport and traded it in for a loaded red 2016 Rebel Mopar 16 edition. I like my Rebel a lot more, but it did cost me about $8k more. Plus, my 2014 Sport hated me and apparently loved the dealership because it was there all of the time for warranty work!

Out of the two mention I would pick the sport. Had a 2015 Outdoorsman and traded for 2017 Longhorn

I also would pick the sport but I'm a little biased.

As for right height...since they both have the air suspension they should basically sit the same.
