I really wanted a new F150 but really do not like where Ford is going these days. Totally fine with the aluminum but my 2013 EcoBoost went into limp mode a few times when the intercooler got wet (once just after getting on the freeway during a sleet/snow storm - SCARY) and it is impossible to find a V8 in anything but a work truck around here. My wife bought a Jeep earlier this year after we got tired of the maintenance repair costs of her Mercedes GLK and we both fell in love with it!!! I saw a night edition RAM 1500 on TFL Trucks and really liked it. I looked around at dealers for a Flame Red and the first one that came up was 40 miles away. This was a Wednesday and on Saturday drove her home:love51: So far, after a month I still cannot believe how much I LOVE this truck! My truck has dealer installed tint and KMC Slides. I know the tires are expensive but the smiles per mile are so worth it:happy107:

Great looking RAM. I love the color combo and the wheels. now all you need to finish off the look is some 5" black exhaust tips and you probably should make it sound as good as it looks while you are at it.:naughty: Let me know if we can help you with any upgrades!

Congratulations on the new RAM. I had a 2002 Ram in red and ever since that's been one of my favorite colors ....... the RAM wears red very well. Good luck and enjoy it-these are fine vehicles, other than the dim headlights not too much to complain about.

Long time ford guy here too. 1 ranger, 8 F150s and 4 mustangs over a 20 year period.

My 14 Tremor ecoboost never left me stranded, but I didn’t care for the performance of it.

What you get for dollars spent it’s just hard to be the Ram. The ride quality is what I like the most, followed by interior comfort. All of my f150s were plenty comfortable, and rode fine for a truck, but there’s no comparison with any of them to the ram in either aspect.

had my run of Fords myself. 2012 Raptor, 2015 F150 King Ranch w/ 3.5 EcoB, then a 2013 F250 w/6.7 Powerstroke and now my 2017 RAM Power Wagon and I am very happy with my decision. still own a ford tho, love my 92 mustang fox body! plus the wife just got a new explorer which is very nice, i couldnt talk her into a Durango.

My first mustang was a 90 GT (hence the username). It was a piece, but I miss that car! I’ve been thinking of buying another one for a toy.

haha, saw your username and figured thats what it meant. They are fun cars, easy and cheap to work on for the most part too. i have a lot of fun with mine. did alot of work to it just to get it to where its at and to make it perform a bit better. it does give me some headaches tho lol. trying to just maintain at this point so i can mod the Power Wagon a bit.

Just switched from a 13 ecoboost myself. Went with a 14 2500 6.4. The Ford was an OK truck, but I’m an HD guy at heart and was never happy with the 1/2 ton

Sorry to hear that on the Durango...I loved my 2014 R/T...my current squad car...2016 Explorer version of the law enforcement vehicle is adequate...and has the room...but it rides like a car. My Durango R/T seemed to sit higher and was more comfortable overall.

The Durango R/T (even the V6 for that matter) is a superior vehicle in almost every way to the Explorer.

I'd be in a Durango SRT right now if it wasn't for the cost (70K) and the fact I needed more room (2nd person on long trip/vacations). I couldn't justify going from a R/T to an SRT (same size / more payment) and not getting more room/full size cab.

The Ram was 25K less...has more room and is a helluva vehicle for the price.
