hi all I just installed my new pedal comander on my 2011 ram 1500 5.7 with 64xxx my question is does spirited driving make the transmission run hot?

my transmission was running at about 153 degrees on a 70 degree night, is that normal? also no towing or anything like that. also I was not on the interstae, but driving through town.

So I caught this thread before coming home from work, 23 miles mostly 55MPH & remembered to check it upon reaching home & mine was at 185° with 76° ambient temperature.

Never checked it before so I do not know what is normal.

2016 5.7 8 speed

FYI also have a Pedal Commander.

I have a 2014 5.7 8speed no pedal commander and mine is usually between 180 and 186 so I'd say it's normal I look at it every now and again and it's always between those numbers so I don't worry

All temps mentioned in this thread are all normal trans temps. Spirited driving does raise trans temps.
