Return and buy a different truck. I also would never hack into these newer wiring deals. too many sensitive computer control modals

BS on adding the sales code. Just did it to my 2017 tradesman. It cost me $70 in parts and $80 to flash the XBM sales code. You don't even need new key fobs, just the rubber pads that have the remote start button on the. Then you need the hood latch with the switch and wiring. Easy to do yourself. There's actually a write up about it in the 4th gen DIY section
