I've got a stack of recall notices on the steering wheel wiring harness getting frayed or what ever. Can I inspect this myself? Like taking the wheel cover off and see what the problem is or isn't? I don't like going to dealer for obvious reasons, one being that they take forever to service the simple things. I'd like to take the thing apart and see for myself what the big deal is. Please no whiners telling me to go to dealer.
