I am in the market to get a Ram Crew Cab and I have found one that has everything I am looking for, its a 2011 5.7L but my only concern is that it has 126k miles. Its from a carmax dealership. I am just concerned that I may need to replace the tranny or there may be other issues with that many miles a I plan to keep it for a decent amount of time.

Any input?

A lot of miles for a 2011. The price should be low. To many unknown issues. I would get a mechanic to thoroughly inspect this Ram if possible

Its priced at $24,599 which is in my price range. Its a sport with all the options, leather, nav, parking sensors, etc.

Too much considering the mileage imo . Does it have 4x4?

It is 4x4 and I thought the price was high for the mileage. Would there be a good price for those miles or just avoid it completely?

I'd say for the mileage it'd have to be under 20k

I bought my 2012 Express 4wd with 128k on it for $15k out the door in Anchorage. This was in late march. I spent another $150 for a pre-purchase inspection from a reputable shop.

Here's Carguru's list of 2011 Sports Nationwide. Compare your trim level to these and see what you can get. A quick look suggests that over 100,000 miles is under $20,000 usually.

As others have said I think the dealer is on Crack with what he is charging.. I would shop around and I bet for 25k$ you will find a Newer and lower mileage RAM. Are you willing to give up some options for a lower mileage RAM ?? I did I added my Camera and boards later. I picked up a 2015 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 SLT BUT with a V6 and 21k miles for 25k$ so deals are out there.. Also if you want you can stretch your payment with a longer term BUT you will pay more in the end. SO keep searching

To me that is also way too high. Private sale for my 2011 sport quad cab last October with just 32,000 miles was in the 24 to 25 range.

I think that's way too much. I just bought my 2014 1500 5.7 tradesman 2wd with 35k miles for 23,999 from carmax. It's has cloth seats but has a lot of other amenities. My truck is my avatar picture.

I agree, way too much. A year ago I bought my 2011 loaded Longhorn with only 63K miles for $24,500

Way too much money for that truck. I bought a 15 RAM Bighorn CC 4x4 with 20,000 miles for 27k in Jan 2017. Keep looking and you will find something better. Try cars.com maybe. Thats how I found my truck.

I bought my 2011 Laramie 4x4 w/rambox, 5.7L towing equipped lots of creature comforts and 86000miles for 22k. This is my first ram but not first dodge. I still have a 05 Magnum R/T and still don't know why these were discontinued. Nice trucks too.

That's too much. for $25k you can get a newer truck with low miles. Might not have every bell and whistle but when buying used all the bells and whistles may go bad and cost you. Window switches, parking sensors, nav, all that crap will start to break on a used tuck. Just my thinking.

$25k for a 2011 with 130k miles on it is a joke. I just traded in my 2013 Big Horn with 38k miles and 8 speed trans on it in as close to perfect used condition as you will get and the dealer listed it for $25k...

In my experience as a used car salesman in the past, Most if not all used cars especially trucks are marked up minimum $4k on the lot.. so right there should tell you that you should be looking to spend in the 19-20 range or less with that many miles.
