Remote start, is this bad for the starter?

I was reading through the manual today, and realized I was do this wrong lol.

When returning to my truck while it's running (remote start mode), and it's already running, you have to put the key into the ignition and turn it in order for you to drive it. I was turning the key all the way to START, in the manual it says just turn key to RUN which is just before start.

I hope I didn't mess anything up by doing that.

if you didnt hear the starter engage, and trust me you would know, its fine.

The starter relay is no longer directly activated by the key turning the ignition switch, the key activates a circuit in the PCM and if the PCM detects the engine running then it won't engage the starter circuit.

Lol I remember starting my car when it was already started, back when I was a teen... Worst sound in the world.
