Road trip

So we left from Anna tx at 815 pm Thursday night and arrived in mankato, Minnesota at noon on Friday. Right at 14 hours of driving. With 4 people and loaded down with luggage I got at best 20.2 but stayed around 19.3 mpg. This will be one hell of a vacation and I'm already loving the weather here.

I live north of Mankato by 2 hours. Come back in February and let me know what you think of the weather when it is the 3rd week that the temps have been under 0 degrees lol

The best I've got was 20.8 with one passenger and a empty cab. I wonder what I'll get with the ac off..

I am in southeast MN this weekend, been pretty nice here.
I can't do road trips in my truck 10mpgs not so good

Well the average MN winter really doesn't have allot for snow. I think about average is about 25" or so, and it tends to not stay around long. That is what is dismal, it is just 2 months of super low temps.

I grew up in Northern Michigan, and where I lived we would get 50" or so a year, but much more milder temps.

It is not uncommon to wake up and go to work and it is -21 to -25 at 5am.

For work I spent sime time in N Dakota in February and it was down to -36 one night. At those temps the tires on your car start not sticking to the road. Feels like you are driving on plastic tires.
