I just got my new 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 SXT about a month and a half ago. Unfortunately, last Saturday (May 18th, 2013) I had an accident with the truck. First, let me point out that my new truck has been infested with software issues since I got it and upgrades available were to be implemented this Saturday (May 25th, 2013) but I didn't quite make I there yet. Back to the accident. The damage seemed to be concentrated on the front bumper area only since the actual line of the truck on the front end has not been knocked out of alignment (ie all panels and hood are working fine and not pushed out of shape). After the accident, I was able to drive the truck home but now, I can only go a few blocks and the 'Engine Temperature Hot' message shows up on the EVIC. Also, the MIL light is now on, a message saying four wheel drive temporarily not available popped up once and this is the important one, a message saying 'SERVICE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL' has shown up at least once but now disappeared from the message area (I have pictures). Could this failure have caused my to shoot forward causing the accident. This could save me demerits on my driver's license and added costs. I usually a very conscious driver so I was wondering if this was a possibility and could this be another software bug? Thanks for any input from anyone.
