UPDATE
yesterday they claimed it was fixed, today the warning light came back on again, and again the light was off when i returned to dealer, i showed proof again.
NOW the tech went to star check or something like that, where they enter the problem in a data base and see if they had a fix.

I may have pissed the service writer off, i said 2200 miles this shouldnt be happening.
then what the lemon law was and how it worked.
He kinda turned a lil red and said NO give them a chance.
Is ther somewhere i can go on a chrysler website to find out known problems or concerns with this>

This being the air bag system, i am not playing around.
yesterday they replaced the airbag orca module and today it has the same code stored in the new one.
the warning light dont stay on, it will come on for a few miles, then reset its self
any help would be great
thanks
ALSO am i being a butthead about this? or am i in right to show my tail on this problem

It is a serious problem, but I would be patient the first couple times. It could be any number of things, so they just have to try and troubleshoot until they figure out what it is.

I work on planes, and trust me, troubleshooting can be a *****! Especially with all these computer systems.

If it continues past 3 visits, then I would start getting a little peeved.

Check air bag fuses

I was having the same problem. I checked out the fuses for the air bag and they were loose, which was the cause of my air bag problem.
I would suggest checking the fuses for the air bag.

going in shop Monday night, and dealer is giving me a loaner.
they say they need a good day and if parts are needed they will over night ship.
it took 2 request to star tech or whatever it is they send to engineers with problems they cant figure out.
tho the light still hasnt come back on since last trip in, i want them to fix it and fit right.

I had my light come on and off too, Whats the SRS code? Mine ended up being the driver chair airbag. The hangers underneath the seat suck, and my cord was hitting the floor and pulling it out of the socket... Check all the plugs and make sure they were tight and level...

Came up on a Google search. Fits my potential issue so what's the problem? Move on if you don't like it.

I think you missunderstood what I was attempting to make light of. your issue is a bit different than this guys. The most important part of the SRS system is that light. If it is on, the airbag won't deploy, period. since yours came on, then wen't off, then it's a bit different because you saw the srs light, I would presume.

If the light is off now, you have a very small chance that the system isn't working as it should. When a light appears for a few seconds then goes away, it could literally be millions of things. although, for the sake of you getting your answer, i'd suggest checking your harness connections ( under your seat ), as well as the fuses, make sure they are nice and snug for the airbag/srs system. That would be the first place to start.

If the light doesn't come back on, then there is little you can do, because if a dealer can't replicate, they can't assist.

:)

Thanks guys. I'll look under the seat and what I can see under the dash and see if any harnesses look/feel loose.
