So, there is a 2011 here in town that is around 37k, we could get that down, but I have been looking at a 2010 Ram Sport fully loaded in New York, and I was just wondering if anyone had experience shipping a truck.

I would also like to know how bad rust gets on northern cars, that is the one reason my mom hasn't agreed to letting me get it. I have pictures of the underside, and it only looks like surface rust that I could fix with a wire brush and some rust stopper.

Finally, is there anyone in the area of the truck, Dunkirk, NY, that could check it out in person for me?

What do you guys think?

I doubt it's worth shipping that far
Just be patient and find one near you or have a dealer find you one at auction
I'm sure there's plenty of leases ending and moving through the blocks

Fair enough. The only reason I wouldn't pass is how absolutely perfect and loaded it is. 2010 with 19k miles and every option available from parking sensors to full leather and sunroof. I was trying to tell myself it'd be worth it because I could probably get most of the money back from shipping it from selling the bull bar, tonneau cover, and side steps.

And I agree, don't think the rust is all that bad.

you can tell them to stop by and gimme that push bar on the way through. :D

Early 2010 model there, half way through the 2010 MY they switched to the body colored grills. Nice inserts though, but I know you wouldn't want 'em cuz they are CHROME

You can have it if I got it, haha. I'd be selling it. I figured the chrome grille was an option, because my Girlfriend's brother just got an 09 sport with the chrome grille, and their mom has an 09 sport with the body colored grille. And you know I'd be selling that! Haha. Some lucky customer could have it.

I'm sure throughout the state of Texas you can find a loaded black sport. Seems like you factor in the cost of shipping, swapping grills, and swapping handles it wouldn't be worth the trouble.

Grille wouldn't be a problem because of the paint I can get, worst comes to worst I just paint it for free and good to go like I did my current one. The handles and the hassle are what turn me off. And in all of the US there is only like 5 trucks that meet my standards, and theyre all 900+ miles away.

Thats usually how it goes. Haha. Find the perfect truck, its way too expensive. But hey, could always try to work them down! Yeah, we have a pretty strict black on black (or dark colored) interior vehicles at my house. Its just always been that way. Haha. I think we've ever owned two cars that were black, and never one without a dark grey or black interior.

One thing that helps is having the money ready, people love having cash or checks or something on hand and ready to go. If its a private seller that is. Lol. Dealerships you just have to push back when they push you.
