I have the chance to trade my 14 Black Out Express for a 05 Power Wagon. The Power Wagon has 93,000 miles. The dealership wants 18,900 for it. Is it worth it?

I would say no your not upgrading but downgrading yes bigger truck but it's just 10+ years old you don't really know what your getting yourself into so it can really be a bad investment if you do. Just my two cents...
Your the only one who really knows what you need or not
Good luck!

Don't really need it but I've always wanted a Power Wagon. I had a 05 2500 and miss that truck. This one made me want another one plus it's a Power Wagon. Your probably right .

I say go for it. You only live once and what's the worst that could happen?

Really wouldn't see it as a down grade. My truck has nothing extra now. Just something I'm mulling over.

I think it's a downgrade also. A 2014 Express has to worth at least $24 thousand...
Power wagon is maybe $15 thousand tops.. And 93,000 miles?

just curious what are they giving you for your truck? maybe you can get some money if your up on the current ram and put it towards the power wagon to build it to your like.

05 was the best year for 3rd gens, imo. their asking price is about right. power wagons hold their value. i wouldnt consider it a downgrade, but it really all depends on what you want or what your looking for. id try to get some cash on top, but i dont see that happening.

Didn't get final numbers yet. Still talking with the dealership. My truck has been appraised already at two different dealerships at 23,000 and 22,500. I'm trying to get 25,000. Still not sure if I'll pull the trigger though.

Yes, but a dealer isn't going to give you $30,000 if they are stickerd on the lot for that. They need profit.
I agree. But not possibly $7,000. I can see making $1,000.
