Who's got a train horn? Thinking about one of these for fun, and something to compliment my finger on those rare occasions. Would like to see install pics.

I can't figure out posting pics but my tank and horns are behind the front bumper between the frame rails mounted on aluminum angle and the compressor is under the hood on the right near the headlight. Lots of fun.

I'd say your best bet is with hornblasters. I bought a Wolo and it's been nothing but trouble!

Well that's not good to hear, I bought a refurbished horn for 50 with my Viair system. Haven't gotten a chance to install any of it yet, hopefully it doesn't become a problem.

Is the compressor or horn the problem?

Umm well the compressor has been the main thing. I did manage to break the horn twice though. Once when I went offroading with my leveled 2011 I must have hit it on a rock. It cracked the horn near where the air line comes in. I just used JB weld and sealed it back up. Then sometime last fall one of the 3 horns just broke off on the highway! I hadn't been offroading so somewhere I guess it just snapped off. I stuck a screw in the air hole that fed into that horn and used JB weld on it.

Now he's the issues I've had with the compressor. The first one I mounted to the frame, I guess the water from the road messed it up. It quit running so Amazon sent me a new kit (Wolo wouldn't warranty it but amazon did). I had a bunch of issues with wiring but it's all good now. I've had the second kit in for probably 2 years now. The tank is good, however when it gets to -20 celsius or colder it'll just run and not push any air into the tank. Then guess who gets to come out to a dead battery the next day -_- . I plan to hook it up to a switch so that won't happen anymore, just haven't had the time yet!

Here are some pics of it today. I think it's about 3 years old now. Wolo Siberian Express with the turbo compressor and tank.

This is has been our biggest want living in Florida, because FLORIDA. I planned on installing onboard Air anyways, but looks like some of the kits aren't totally compatible with systems setup for airing tires and tools. Not sure why.

Anyone have a dual setup?

what is the cost of this 4 barrel setup including compressor ?

I can see where this would move the deer/antelope/moose away from the roadway where the OEM horns do little at times

I paid $500 for the kit, and then maybe another $100 in accessories and mounting hardware

Reviving this old thread. I got a Hornlaster outlaw 228 for Christmas. I spent the weekend installing the Outlaw Horns behind front bumper between the Frame beams on some angle iron Im super happy with how it turned out. Its protected by the Air Dam and Bumper and its stiff as all get out. It points to the front of the truck also and no water can get into the tubes. Im now thinking about where I want to put the Compressor and Pump. I was thinking either in the bed or in along the passenger side frame in between my mounts for my Step bars. Was hoping more folks have installed Hornblasters out there that can give me some ideas on where to mount the compressor. I also purchased the frame mount plate from Hornblaster so I can unstack the Pump from the tank. Will try to get some better pics of the horn mount position.
