Thinking of buying, anything missing here?

I found a 2014 ram 3500 that seems to check all my boxes. But I thought I might ask, is there anything critical missing here that I'm not noticing?

I plan to tow a 16000 lb fifth. I know this truck doesn't have the 5th wheel prep, but other than that, am I making any mistakes here?

From what you posted and the ram specs for 2014 you should be fine. I have attached a pic of the towong specs so you can compare them to what you are looking at.

Awesome, thanks. I've reviewed the tow numbers and all seems good.

The truck looks clean, the payload is a little shy at 52xx... and there are some screw holes in the dash just under the start button, I can't imagine what someone might have had mounted there

How about on the suspension side.. anything in the 2014 that might be better on a 17 (without air)

That piece with the holes can be replaced, and that's the first thing that I would do. Outside of that buy it and enjoy it.

I would just go ahead and change the fluid to be on the safe side you said you only had 52,000 miles on it. I’m glad you were able to read the Torah readings, I did not know the pictures blurry. I saved it to my phone and looked OK

Or a full on delete tune programmer.... which means it could have been beaten on..

That's what I want to know about... I'm not sure what that is or means, but is there any way to find out? Or ant clues to look for?

If your concerned about it being beat on, check in the wheel wells for pieces of rubber, or mud, feel around on top of frame, anywhere that's really hard to get to to clean. they may have cleaned it but not all will be noticed especially in the little crevices. Good luck bud.

This truck is 489 miles from me, I was going to buy it unseen and have it shipped to me.

The dealer is well known, with a lot of 5 star reviews, a very reputable dealer in Texas...that doesn't mean the truck won't be sold messed up though.

So I can't inspect it in person.

And I have zero problem walking away from this truck. I might still buy brand new instead and I'm in no real hurry.

Just finding a used aisin is tricky as there aren't many out there, so I try to jump when I locate one

Alright, well I bought the truck, and they are performing the 60,000 transmission flush and filter change.

What are the price difference between this one and a new one in your area or at that specific dealer?? just a couple grand for peace of mind

about 15,000 dollars once you add in the sales tax difference.

Also what warranties are offered for the used one that sometimes can be a deal breaker, my opinion is go with the better warranty and whichever makes you have no regrets.
