Tint %?

What is the tint percent on the rear windows of the 2011 rams. I'm getting the front windows tinted and I want to get the same percent to match. Thanks guys.

Its depends what shop you go to and what they carry. It will either be 15 or 20. I have 20 on mine and looks perfect.

I have a shop saying that stock is 17% but not sure if they are correct. I have a buddy that just had his done and it looks off with 20%. I think alot has to do with brand of the tint also.

I had 15% put on my 2011. It is dead on.

Yea, factory tint is around 15%-20% The number I hear the most is 18%, but really, you aren't going to see the difference between 5% on a vehicle's window.

On mine I had 9% all the way around put on so that the back glasses still look darker than the front, but the fronts are still pretty damn dark. Look for a shop in your area that uses Llumar. It's the only brand to go with these days.

I've also had great luck with SolarGuard film.
I actually had really bad luck with 3M film.

I went with 20% dead on. I use to have 15% but that was a little darker.

Just say screw it and go 5% all the way around. That's what I did.

Haha right. Well that time it's all it was, that's why I caved in on the tails...I knew if he saw me again he would write me up for everything he could find.

Place i had tint mine would not warrenty 5% and with a dog and kids well i know it will get scratched so i went with 18% to match the factory back window.

Ok its done and it is 28%. The 15% looked too dark and looked a different color. I now have bubbles all over the film. Who knows I might be getting new tint. I did go with a 8% tint on the top of windshield. I will post pictures soon. Problem was only 3 shops in town do tint and 2 of the 3 shops I was told not to go there. We will see. As of now I am still questioning if I should of gone with 15%.

Sad part was while I was waiting on my windows to be tinted 3 people were waiting also to have their tint removed for violation and a fix it ticket from the cops. I hope I don't get caught.

Bubbles? that doesn't sound good. There shouldn't be any of those if they did it right.

I've had my last 3 vehicles done and had bubbles the day they did it...disappeared after a week or so...havnt had any issues since

All depends does your state have an inspection if so then the tint is prob illegal had my mustang tinted for 3 yrs in nj and not 1 ticket had my stratus done in nj 2 weeks later got a ticket. So it was 75$ a window to remove and an 80$ ticket. All i can say is its a 50/50 chance on getting pulled over.
