I'm surprised no one has asked this on here before. Is it really required to change the TPMS sensors when putting 22" wheels on a 2010?

I swapped my rims for a bit and put on rims which had no tpms and the light never came on during that week. I thought it would maybe it just takes longer.

if theyre the tpms sensor at the valvestem, you'll have to get new tpms valve stems but will be able to reuse the sensors, but if theyre the sensors on bands around the wheel, you'll have to get larger bands to fit around the wheel. not sure what dodge uses, just know those 2 from working at ford

^^ iSlacker816 nailed it. I think most OE's use the TPMS that's integral with the valve stem. Meaning it should just swap over to the new wheels (provided they are TPMS friendly).

Some wheels have notes stating rather clearly they are NOT TPMS friendly.
