Just pickup up some 2016 1500 take off rims, forgot to ask if the have tpms. Is there anyway to tell just by looking at valve stems? I do not need them on my '03, just wondering though. Stems look like "normal" ones to me. Thanks

There's no tires on these rims, right? Is there a ********* plastic box attached to the backside of the valve stem? If so, that's TPMS. You can pull them and put in regular valve stems.

No, tires are mounted. Could a larger amount of weights directly opposite of the valve stem be a sign?

You could take them by a local tire place that has a TPMS reader and have them see if they get a reading from them....

Did not know that was an option. I pass 4 or 5 tire places on my way home from work everyday.
