Hows it going everyone. I couldn't decide where the best place to post this was so I settled on here.

I have a 2011 Outdoorsman 1500 Regular Cab. The other day in Northern NY we got a lot of snow. I was out playing in it and had turned my traction control off. After drifting and doing doughnuts for a while the light on the right side of my dash(that usually flashes when traction control kicks in) stayed on for a while. Does anyone know why? Also sometimes when I have traction control off (light on the left side indicates it's off) sometimes the right light will flash and my traction control will still kick in. Is that normal?

im sure there is a thread about this. But i couldn't find it. So my appologies if it's a duplicate thread.

Turning the traction control "off" doesn't actually turn it off. It only changes the threshold at which it kicks in. I pulled my ABS fuse for this very reason, plus I hate BS, I mean ABS.

I'm not sure witch years this apples to but if you have it locked into 4wd you can press and hold trac button for about 10 seconds and it will shut esc and traction off. It doesn't work on 2wd trucks.

Is holding it for 10 seconds a permanent off or does it come back on when you start up the truck again?

It resets if you shut the truck off and in my case if i switch it back to 2wd it'll turn back on.

There is a different light for stability control that looks like the one for traction control. It will come on when you are sliding around.

Do you have light on on the dash? I keep debating doing this too as i hate abs and stability control, i find when you learned to drive without them they are more of a pain then they are helpful

Ya, two lights, ABS, and the squiggly car light. It isn't really an issue if you know why they are there though. I pretty much forget about them while driving, and if you ever loan your truck out, popping the fuse back in is easy. I even store the fuse I pulled IN the fuse box lol.

My 2011 2500 doesn't have a traction control button anywhere. I assume this means it doesn't have traction control.
Doesn't seem to act like it does anyways...and I'm happy with that

It does, you just don't know it. It won't shut the light off or notify you in any way. Next time it snows floor it so the tires are spinning faster than 45 mph and it will kick back on if it sees you going sideways at all.
