So I'm looking at a 2015 Laramie with 10,000 miles. It came from Canada would it still be covered by the factory warranty? The dealer said since it came from Canada it would have no warranty. I thought they transferred owner to owner but want to make sure before buying. Thanks for any help

Yep no warranty. I looked at buying in the US but no warranty was a deal breaker. Now with the exchange rate it doesn't make sense for any Canadians to buy from the states.

Could you buy a mopar warranty?? If it's that good of a deal I think the lifetime max care with $100 deductible is $2600. Less years and less mileage will be cheaper.

Find a 15 certified pre-owned and you'll get balance of factory PLUS additional because of it being certified preowned.

*EDIT* In the U.S., of course! :)

My 2010 is from Canada and I did not get the remaining power train warranty when I bought it last year. Not a big deal. But not getting a warranty on a truck that should still be under the basic warranty would be a big deal for me. It would have to be a really good price.

How close are you to the border? Could you jump over for warranty work? PITA I know, but an option if the truck is a really good deal. I'd want to be damned sure that the warranty wasn't void though.

I doubt you can play that game of "jump over" for warranty work and would bet a cold beer the legalese states that to get warranty in respective country would require it to be owned and titled in same respective country.

As much as many Americans think of Canada as the "51'st State", that is a bridge too far to play that game of hustling a warranty repair.

Ended up buying it. Dealer included a 3 year warranty could have paid $1900 for 6 year but I didn't go for it. I'm not as concerned about warranties as some anyway. This is my 4th dodge/ram never had to use any kind of warranty.

It's a 2015 1500 Laramie crew. Hemi, Navigation, limited slip, sunroof, heated cooled seats, tow mirrors brake controller, spray in bed liner. Every option except air suspension and 3.92. Got it for $35,000 with 10,000 miles. Around here unheard of deal. Best I could find new was $47,000 on a truck with msrp of $51k.

Right or wrong decision not sure yet but I love this truck and it's the on,y way I could afford a Laramie comfortably. Huge difference inside compared to my 2012 sport

Is it a third party warranty company? If so, be sure to read the fine print as they usually have tons of escape clauses if you do not follow everything to a "T". Most of it revolves around having every service documented and many times requiring you to have it dealership serviced only. Miss one event and they can deny anything.
