I've owned Chevy trucks all my life. I recently totaled my 2006 Avalanche and decided to try out a Ram this go around.

We recently bought my girlfriend a brand new F150, and while it's a nice truck (nicer than any Chevy I've driven), I'm in love with my Ram.

I picked up my 2014 RAM 1500 Big Horn 4x4 with 27k on the clock for a little over $27k in August.

I haven't done much to her except for LED lows, BT catch Can, Royal Purple w/wix filter (it had conventional), AFE drop in dry air filter, and some 275/60/20 KO2's. Oh, and I ordered a Borla pro xs today with some Christmas cash.

I am officially a Mopar man. Loving this truck.

Next on the list is a tune and a throttle body.

I've been on the forums for a couple of weeks and it's a wealth of info, especially coming over from the GM world.

Good choice Sir !

Welcome to the Ramily!

You should consider bilsteins to level and do the 8.4" radio conversion if you don't have it already .
So much you can do to these Ram's .
This forum has so many DIY threads for the 4th gen .

If you haven't found the DIY For 4th gen yet .....here's a link .

Nice looking rig! I don't blame you for your choice . I don't think you can go wrong with any of the trucks from the big 3 these days.

I have a 15 silverado 1500 and while it's a nice truck, I'm looking to move to a 17 ram 2500. The ford f250 and 2500hd Silverado are nice, but i like the innovation in the dodge and i feel the dodge is every bit as HD as the F250, but you get a lot more bang for your buck with the dodge. Just my opinion. Good luck with it

I wouldn't call myself a Chevy guy but when I was in the market for a RCSB I was heavily leaning towards a a 14-15 silverado/sierra. Mostly due to looks. But they are definitely expensive.

The Ram express fell on my radar. Hemi powered, all power and Bluetooth, stock 20s, and color matched for less than a base V6 work truck. Sold.

Do you have the 3.92 and/or LSD? Those combined with the Hemi and 8 spd equal fun!

Unfortunately, I have 3.21's and a conventional diff. I checked into a gear swap, but I was quoted 5k because if the front axle.

Still plenty of fun though. I'm going to get tuned at some point. That ought to help.

I have an obdII reader, so I'll see what my 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are.

I'm guessing somewhere in the 6 second range for 0-60 and high 14's-low 15's in the 1/4.

You might want to get some additional quotes for the rear end. There is a thread under 2014 on the other forum where a guy just did it for $2k CDN.

Sorry. but I myself couldn't live with a one wheel peel. I like the feel of the ass going side ways.
