I hear it every day I turn the truck on, and when I turn it off. The sound stays on longer, I just recorded a small portion.

You collected a woodpecker in the HVAC system!!!

How big are you? Seat creaking?

Seriously though, it sounds like a sticky actuator somewhere in the HVAC system. Whatever one closes when the truck is shut off.

Either a blend door actuator , recirc door actuator or a mode door actuator some require dash removal some do not

I think it has to do with the recirc in the hvac. I get it from time to time

Definitely sounds hvac related. Hopefully its not the recirc actuator because I believe it requires pulling the dash to replace...

recirc door is the easy one behind the glove box, blend door is harder because there's less room, mode door is the hardest.

easy way to figure out which one it is is to try one at a time. Poke the recirc button with the key on acc and fan on 1. no noise move to blend door by turning the temp knob up and down. no noise move to mode door changing where the air comes out. no noise then and it's not one of the hvac doors.
