Despite the box looking just as bad as the first one that was sent earlier this week the cover wasn't damaged. Got it installed just before dark. Thanks to Rough Country for sending out a replacement right away!

You da man!! I can't wait to see them installed on your truck. I am curious if they are really plug and play.
I am considering this mod even though its expensive...They have tail lights too that are badass. I think they are $475 plug and play.

You might mention to your vendor, they either need stronger boxes or a different carrier, especially if this has happened twice.

They give you 2 different options when checking out. Either OEM quads. Or OEM projectors. So fingers crossed. As expensive as they are they should of offered the fogs for free. [emoji23] wishful thinking

I planned on it. While I'm grateful they sent a replacement out immediately without asking a single question they should have double boxed it or reinforced the manufacturer's box before shipping. Fedex was the carrier and usually I dont have issues with them. I'm thinking the dead space inside made it very vulnerable for damage.

a different carrier will do nothing to prevent this.... I work for a different carrier and if you think they give 2 craps about your stuff , you're kidding yourself. If I could, I would pick up everything I order online because it's ridiculous how they treat the freight/packages.

I've had quite a bit of trouble with Fedex and damaged shipments ever since they started using the independent contractor "FedEx Home Delivery" people instead of their actual employees and delivery drivers for residential deliveries. I'm not saying they are all bad, but the ones we have locally definitely are. They also do everything as a "Drop and Run", they don't even ring the bell.

My comments are a reflection of my age I guess. I still have hopes that people will do their job correctly and treat other peoples property the way they want their own property treated-----dumb me I guess.

I’ll admit, I live in a pretty ancient neighborhood in a very very little town that doesn’t even have an established address system. Starting out, they had to guess where we are, and once they figured it out and learned it we don’t have much of an issue except around the holidays when they get busy and hire them outside contractors but I honestly had a fed ex rep tell me that they don’t require their drivers to call customers to aid in finding addresses if they can’t find them. I said I guess they like paying claims for lost packages.

Not much. Still hot and muggy here. Didn't get much from hurricane Florence. How you settling in after the move?

I finally upgraded my SSV cluster.

I paid more than I wanted for programming ($300+ tax, and that was after negotiations), but the guy had it programed in just a few minutes on his bench. I paid under $200 for the Cluster, and about the same for the Rebel mask.

The last time I pulled the cluster to change to the Rebel mask I put a scratch on the front of the dash pad and scuffed the cover on top of the steering column.

I'm a bit disappointed I needed to leave the Rebel badge for now. I was hoping it would be a quick swap to keep the Ram badge but it looks like it will be a project.

Bed cover arrived. Fedex dropped it off in the garage and bolted without coming to the door....and it was obvious someone was home. Should have known that was a bad sign. Hopefully rough country sends a replacement without much hassle.88ab84546dafa846095a7993f5c4b7ca.jpg9348adbc2f75d49194bad1a72b63ee55.jpg7ae607cd3ebb59b4217cca40ba745433.jpg

Join the club! LOL. I sit on here and look at all the stuff that people do and makes me feel ****** about my truck. Then I look at my bank account and realize I’m broke so I smile at what I have and remember to be thankful! Lots of people would kill to be in our shoes. We have sweet trucks !!!

Truck looks good BTW!

Got my curved 42inch light bar installed this morning. Will clean up the homemade mounting brackets Monday and get it wired up. Hopefully my rough country bed cover will be here later today fdbe91856460a52be10db54f2ad46e49.jpg3d76ec9641b1e84eae3bbd406cfc0831.jpg3a83ec9a33b8f2929b79576bba3e7f99.jpg

Looks good, but I have to tell ya. It reminds me of a happy dogs face up close - the light bar being the smiling dogs teeth. Lol!

For real though, good job!

IMHO A clean, well waxed, maintained or detailed truck is just as attractive to me as any custom truck there is. It shows great personal pride and not how deep the owners pockets are.
