Currently 30F, dropping down to single digits tomorrow & Wednesday.

I love it. You think that’s cold? My tire sensors think my tires are flat lol it was -30F here last week and today another cold snap. I hate it. But if you think your situation sucks think of me lol. #wintersucks

So I put LED in my front blinkers and my tail lights and of course I got the bulb out messages. Is there another way to get rid of it besides wiring in resistors?

Not that I’m aware of. I think pretty much your only option is LED load resistors. If the non-LED 4th Gens are like the 3rd Gens, there is no turn signal flasher that you can swap to an electronic one.

When I upgraded my 3rd Gen to full LED tail lights, they came with resistor packs for each tail light. When I upgraded my front turn signals to LED, I had to buy two load resistors to avoid the hyperflash.

The 4th gens don’t have a flasher relay, that was going to be my way to fix it until I found that out. If I don’t put in resisters the hyperflashing is the only issue correct? It won’t cause any other problems?

No not cold here compared to my retirement house up off the shores of lake Erie. I wasn't complaining, someone asked what my temp was, so I answered. But single digits are enough for me to cover my grill. It only got down to +2.5f this AM, so we're good ;)

Should be. That, and a bulb out message maybe. How come you don’t wanna use resistors? They’re not hard to wire in.

I had the same issue when I put led lights in my last truck 07 f150. I wired in resisters and they got so hot and melted the connections. Just trying to avoid that again but it’s looking like that’s my only option.

The resistors that came with my taillights were pretty big. About the size and thickness of a square-shaped hockey puck. For the front, I just had LED versions of the same incandescent bulbs but used these LED load resistors.. The directions did say to mount them to a metal surface to help with heat dissipation. Even sitting at long redlights in the summer, they were fine.

Just added a battery tender ring harness with quick disconnect to my truck. Its been sitting for about a week now without running and its supposed to get below zero tonight so figured Id plug it in.

Used my Sears Platinum 1.5A/trickle charger and the readout was showing the battery at 77% (eesh).

Are batteries covered under the factory warranty? if so, what do I need to do to convince the dealer to give me a new one?

I have a battery tender lead on mine too and ran it out the grill so I don't have to lift the hood to plug it in.

Mine doesn't sit that long (not more than a couple of days) but a fully charged battery is a happy battery.

Yes batteries are covered under factory bumper to bumper warranty but it will have to be completely bad for them to replace it.

I fished mine through the passenger wheel well flap for the headlight, at least for now. The ring harness wasnt long enough to make it through so I had to send some of the charger side of the wire through there.

Eventually I will work on a longer harness but for now this will work. Truck is outside 24/7 so I wanted to keep the connections shielded from the weather the best I can.
