Used it to drop off “the outside pile” of sheds my brother didn’t want. Made enough off the chalked up whites to pay for a vortex viper to go with his daughters new ruger youth .308. Lucky girl got drawn for a elk tag so we will be getting her all setup.

I put some weather tech mud flaps on her. Next will be the tailgate assist followed by Bushwacker rocker panels.

The blue shawl should give it that final touch of class :)

Detailed the truck and top coated it with Polish Angel High Gloss for a Cars and Coffee on Sunday. Just as I finished and went into the house they announced on FB that the event was cancelled because of the possibility of severe thunderstorms tomorrow morning. :banghead:

I noticed the rear brake pads were getting a little low. Outside face of the rotor didn't look too bad. Cool, quick and easy pad slap. I pull the calipers and find a not so cool rust lip on the inner face of the rotors.

OK, pads and rotors, no biggie. Left side rotor doesn't want to come off. It's loose, but its catching on the parking brake shoes. I back the parking brake adjuster all the way off. Rotor still won't come off. Out comes the hammer. I persuaded the rotor off but the lining on the one shoe came off. Mother F@$&%#. The right side rotor comes off nice and easy. The lining comes off a shoe on that side too. I guess that was a moot point, since I would have done both sides anyway.

Off to the auto parts store. Pads, rotors, parking brake shoes, and parking brake hardware kit. Parking brake was a pain in the ass but I was able to do it without removal the axles. (In my drive way, using just a floor jack and jack stands for lift)

That was yesterday. At least the truck is good to go for the weekend.

(Edit) the truck has 39k on it if you're wondering.

Wait, why would you have to remove axle ???

Took the generic apex rack and tweaked it a bit. It had slip joints and plug style set screws I wasn't a fan of, so.i welded it after I cut the top bars down 4" so it didn't sit as high over the cab. Yaks, **** for the house etc will be much easier now, added 4 extra tie down spots as well. Stole that from ram1500rsm. In the future I'll add some work lights and later down the road more tubes and cross bars to double this as a tent rack and make it more adventure friendly. For now, it's the cliche grandpa rack
