What does the Sport offer?

Obviously I'm a really Newbie. I'm looking at some still new 2016's that are on the dealer lots, and came across a 4x4 Sport. Is there any difference, or advantage of the Sport, other than a cool hood?

Depends on what your looking for, the Sport offers painted bumpers ,grill and the hood along with 20" rims.
It also offers the ability to get the higher end options, leather, buckets, back up Camara and various other things.
The Express is a model similar to the sport in appearance but does not have the options for the higher end stuff or gadgets.
To me you buy the Sport for the painted bumpers/grill and hood, if you want chrome bumpers look to the Bighorn or Larime trimed trucks.

Plus the black interior vs the tan. I love my black! And as stated, a whole bunch more stuff vs the express. Usually heated seats and steering wheel as wheel.

69gwc is right. The sport is ram's street truck. painted bumpers, mirrors, fog lights, etc... It looks like the express but gives you all of the interior goodies. If you are looking at a 2016 i would assume the rebates would be huge.

About $10k off the MSRP. I have several that have the options that I'mm looking for, and two of them are the Sport model.

Trailer hitch with 4 and 7 pin harness
Sprayed in bed liner
black 20" rims
Chrome dual exhaust

I love my express.. has everything I wanted and needed and nothing that I didn't want or need... and is very affordable

the stock mufflers are the same across the line. The sport muffler is the same as express laramie etc...
unless it has the upgraded exhaust which I believe the "sport nights" have or it's an option.

But other then that the sport has no special exhaust muffler.

This....my 2016 sport came with the exact exhaust as all other rams with the dual exhaust out the rear

Isn't the Sport the only model that can come as an R/T and with 4.10s?

I think only the earlier r/t's came with the 4.10's and a different torque converter. Then they stopped that and any r/t after that was badges and 22" wheels

They stopped the 4.10s when they switched to the 8 speed

Sport also has split front buckets with console. Pretty sure Express is fold down middle front seat.

I believe the Sport also does NOT come standard with a receiver hitch. I had to buy one on Amazon and install it.

They offer 20" aluminum wheels, not chrome clad wheels, or plastic. A sport hood is not standard, although the majority of sports have them.

They are available, not standard, with the rambox containment system ( it reduces your bed size if they are installed), and full leather is available, in return you get ventilated and heated seats. Get the regular cloth/ leather seats and you get the standard heated seats but not ventilated.

You also get 3 different cabin/ box (bed) sizes

A crew cab 5'7 box.
A crew cab 6'4 box.
A quad cab 6'4 box.

Or opt for an r/t (single cab only) and get a 6'4 bed.
With 22" aluminum wheels and r/t badging, and standard performance hood.

What does the Sport offer?
