Number one: My Access Bed Cover. Had the same exact one on my 2001 Ram 2500 for 14 years. Treated with 303 about once every 2 months. Looked new when I sold the truck.
Number two: MOPAR Splash Guards. Look great and do a fabulous job of protecting the paint on the fenders.

Did you put anything like silicone or clear vinyl wrap between the mudflaps and the truck body.Those flaps are famous for vibrating and wearing the paint away where they touch the body.

No silicone or vinyl wrap. However I sprayed the area with S-100 Corrosion Protectant before installing the guards. I had the same MOPAR Splash Guards on m 2001 Ram for 14 years. Did not notice any paint wearing away so I was not worried about it when I got my 2014. Here is the best shot I could find of the 2001 just before I traded it. Shows both the Access Bed Cover and most of one of the rear splash guards. Wish I had kept that truck.

I hear you bud. I had a 1997 2500, standard cab, 8 foot bed with very minimal rust. It had 4.10 gears and the 360. Man that truck ran great. I miss it, for sure

Yep. Mine had the good old 360 as well and the 4.10 gears. Not a spec of rust on it. 70 coats of Liquid Glass Polish. Was a quad cab with the tow package, camper package, and snow plow prep package, Was one heavy duty son of a gun and rode like a tank but I absolutely loved it. If I could buy a new one just like it today, I would trade my 2014 without thinking twice.
Gotta be Carven Progressive exhaust. There's a stop sign on a stretch of road on my way home that leads to a wide open smooth road. Every single time I floor it to about 80, can't beat that sound. Nothing more American than a loud V8 screaming.

Im surprised how many of you said a Tune. I have mine tuned with a caned Diablo tune with an I3 and coudnt tell a difference other than the limiter being removed if you want to go that fast. Even the dyno vids only show a 7hp and about a 15 lbs of torque increase. I hardly knew I did it. I know it has its place with larger tires, ect...but to spend that $$ just for tuning a stock truck I didnt see the benefit. Unless Im missing something...

However, before I installed the winch, the bar mounted below the bumper, just like almost every other bull bar on the market.
While making the winch mount, I incorporated mounting points for the bull bar so I could mount it through the bumper.
Here is a pic of how it was mounted before I installed the winch.

Is the bar mounted to the tow hook points? Think it would be strong enough to pull you if you got stuck somewhere?

No, I would not trust the bull bar as an attachment point for a recovery. While the structure that it is attached to is quite robust, the bar itself is just thin walled tubing.

I've wanted a bull bar to help protect the bumper, but I got stuck for the first time in 20 years last weekend so I want something that either won't interfere with recovery hooks...or could be used as both.
I really like the look of your set-up, so I was hoping I could do both!

Not sure what your budget may be, or if you want a winch or not, but you might check out the Warn transformer. It’s a bolt on modular system that can be had with just the bull bar, or full width brush guard, and retains front tow hooks.
